Whilst on a trip out to the historic Beamish Museum, there was no other choice really than to switch the camera to a black and white filter and pretend it was back before the days of any colour photography.

In monochrome, this photo of several rusted chains has added effect as the chains appear to show more of their decay, whilst the image is filled with bright and dark shades to provide great contrast.

It's certainly doubtful that it would have looked so striking in colour!
